I am at a loss
as to what I should do,
where I should be,
or where I can go

all that I know
are that these problems
are temporary situations
that present themselves
in the present
as they have in the past

and that they will not last.

The future you see
is not discerned so easily
so in trying to be
what I can
I end up not being

and remain lost.
This is the cost of my life,
the cause of my strife
and the reason for such angst.
