the kiss was tepid,
far less
than she expected.

I would be
remiss
if I tried
to say anything more

this lack of passion
was all my fault

(it stems for years of passion
less poetry- and more in the making)

too much on my mind
with too much time
on my hands
my fingers
do not pen
the words of love
I long to share

it's not that I do not care
I just wonder where I am,
what I am doing
and where I should be

a tepid kiss was the prelude
to so much more

true love should never be a bore
