Home by Scott UtleyEach breath we take is an elegant electrical ballet. I inhale you. You exhale me.
Together we share the same spiral of breath. When the tides pull tight, we can see
our shadows dancing on each other’s heart. The moon's light encourages the sweet love song
of the desert Oriole. Sure footed Sheep hoof higher, to get closer to the sky.
The giant Ravens often play circle tag above our heads, gently mocking our naivete.
Scorpions play hide and seek with Rattlesnakes beneath our feet. They take great care
not to harm us, for they understand we are one of them. The power of the Hawk's wings
propels the sun into an elliptical arc towards tomorrow. Owls push the moon into orbit.
The kit fox directs them. They have the best humor. You and I
are observers in awe of this great ship called Mother Earth.
