not all are fooled by Charlie Morganwhen i stare at you,
it's to see the crescent-moon pupils
that poets say you possess.
along with all men's hearts.
is your trail strewn with tears
from hapless admirers, who've
dared want and you deigned a notice.
leaving a part of humanity singed.
you: the woman of fair skin. many shades
of beauty. smiling, all-aglow, listless
places one more heart on an ankle bracelet.
as ennui becomes your big sister, for life.
will no one understand? for your stable-barn's
existence, only seen by your attendants.
each day is Opening Night, taking the bows
is quite tiresome. the stage crew and loge seats
see underneath all your dressage.
Everyman stands in the shadows in awe, Woman.

I know that story. Take me into one I don’t know. And finally every woman wants to have a beauty to unveil. Not to conjure, but to unveil. Most women feel the pressure to be beautiful from very young but that is not what I speak of…” in Wild at Heart but I love the way you say it, Chaz. I've missed you!
