moonwhisper

by Maria Massarella

and tell me

what of the in
visible do you come seeking
when in the heart of the
night you stray to realms
where memories ride
the wistful breath of winds

voiced in a secret
echoes of conversation
ebb and rise
roll through the mind
breaking every tides rhythm
in spaces once y ours

and i find you in
traces of moonbeams gleam
ing whispers argent
as wisdom to my hair

It sounds as if you have had a glass or so of a fine wine and you stare at this moon as whispers run their fingers through your hair and you close your eyes and hope you dream the night away.

I found Mark's comment quite enlightening about how the strong signals sent would bounce back as a whisper. As always, I love the heart of your work, the beauty in the way you arrange your words, and they way they drip off my tongue when I read them aloud. Love this!
