Cat Woman

by Timothy Wilson

Madness with a touch of hope
Reaching for the hangman's rope
I found her beauty paralyzing

Dumbfounded like a mindless drone
She will not leave my thoughts alone
I found she is a risk worth trying

I am but a simple man
avoiding love the best I can
She leaves me wanting she leaves me sighing

When first I saw this angels face
I capitulated down from space
Knowing somehow that my heart was dying

Graceful as a stalking cat
Stuns me when eyelashes bat
She always sends my logic flying

And Wherever she ends up
There's bound to be a golden cup
A silver spoon a glorious light and the sound of my soul crying
