Times

by Joe Cramer

We roam busy streets in the evening,
Times-Square at midnight
brilliantly lit
the right place
the wrong evening of the year

I wish I could be there
with you at the drop of the ball,
but this is not in the cards
the pictures were nice
we walked around
once more, perhaps twice

I have always loved being with you
here, there, anywhere will do

there is something magical about nyc, isn't there? what a lovely piece, full of a deep longing for something more yet content with what is at hand.. a lesson for us all

You bring back memories for me. I love NYC and all that is there. I've not been there in far too many years. Nice write! And you obviously care.
