Bit by bit, it gets closer:
this goal, that goal,
the life I want,
the content I seek.
I reel it in, inch by inch,
days by years,
and yes, it is exhausting
and sometimes disheartening,
and the progress is so slow...
But there is change,
deliberate as a glacier,
clear as the open sky.

Patience has never been my strong suit,
but I'm learning.
