Her Greeting Cards

by James Zealy

In her joy of celebration
A personal reflection of the proper card
Was a labor of conviction

Always penned with a personal note
That reflected her personal view of life
Showing expression with no trite quotes

Each envelope was an anticipated treasure
Of her placing her affections at eyes light
Opening one was a gift of her pleasure

As she paid attention to details
We can only surmise a guess
As she sent this package of mail

I expect for months and years
That I will watch each day
For another expression of her care

Author's Note: Polly Regan, my mother in law died on Thursday 08/24/2012. Picking and sending greeting cards were her special pleasure.

A fantastic tribute.
