6. Grounded by Julie Adamsemotions flurry, falling, and flying
like cherry blossoms in a spring wind
sometimes dancing in the sunlight of laughter,
or weeping in the shade of fear
this airy current sways me, leaves
me dizzy in my own head
but the swell of my belly grounds me
the gift I hold inside calms me
into placid humility, time and again
now I must be the sturdy tree
