lil puppy in the rain

by Artur Desruisseaux

Life is a game

a very important game

there are winners

there are losers

but everyone wants to win

and life is serious business too

life is no joking matter

but

I

am not serious

and

I

don't

care to win

and sometimes

I turn out the lights

and I lay on the floor

of the cold shower

water running

pretending that I am a lost

dog in the rain

at night

and

when the neighbors got a new fridge

I stole the box from their trash

and I brought the box up to my apartment

and for 30 minutes

I sat in that fridge box

before I got tired of cardboard box smell

and I returned it to their

trash

not knowing

what provoked me to

do that

but

I

am not serious

and

I

am a

loser

i want to know who the two losers were who gave this poem a low rating. it is excellent and odds are their own poems are much worse than this one. no wonder why you hate so many people.
