gray clouds gather in
the ever darkening sky.
bringing with them
unknown strength that
intensifies with every blow
of the biting wind

gray clouds block out
the once shining sun.
bringing with them
a shroud that covers
all life beneath in
in a black stillness

gray clouds rain down
on the helpless earth.
bringing with them
a cleansing power
that no one can see
through the storm

gray clouds dissipate
as the sun breaks through.
bringing with them
all the pain and darkness
of those that they touched,
letting them all start anew


the storm has passed,
let's start anew
