Today was a day you muttered
"God, never again".
everything resembling a sudden turn
against your resin
you seek to grab onto a friend
but they all have fled far
but luckily today you exist
as one with my life ...

If i didnt have you
and you were no part of my life
i would have no idea what i'd become
or where i would find myself ...
and yet ...

i'd be lowered, buried deepest
there would be no deeper to request
id be nothing
i'd have vanished into earth
i'd be muddied,
dried and dusty
picked and scattered by the wind gusts
and then battered back to the ground
by the rain

there are those days you seek to find who you are
moments where death touch your psyche from afar
and yet know that to one you are more than the world
you are everything never had with love so unfurled.
