"Vessel"

by Max Phineas

One day I'll tell them
all that it means

The raging sea that swells in my chest;
its motions
shape my motives.
Why I sway the way I do
teeter on the brink of folly and fancy
crying for lack of the power to thrash
against the waves
that crash against my bones.

I'll tell them all
what it means to be
a vessel of volatile infinity.

I hope you realize how fortunate you are if you 'know'. Does it really ease the 'sickness unto death'? Good write!
