A dollar thirty five

by Keith D Allison

A Poem by the ragtack

Won't buy a sweet rose

the ocean beats on the shore

the heart

does know

the grave

many sweet songs did it play

but only one did it hear

that was the days of old

the body does Trimble

notion of the sweet soil

like a gift of life

tears drop

for it’s an ocean away

A dollar thirty five

Won’t play the melody

of the dream

The sweet soil

Is

an ocean away

Love the surreal, quiet sing-song quality of this.

I'm with Gabriel on this one. :-) Thanks for sharing!
