De-program and Descend

by Ben Evans

The hog follows its nose into the dank earth
The man fears the fluid passing past the yard arm
Endless iterations on a theme folded and unfolding
Run the gamut on the shopping centre floor
Brick dust, coal dust; dust from diamonds
I am some foreign brother's 'other' up to die
Role play in shades of pink and green aghast
We are right now and the rest be damned

"The rest be dammed" indeed. Interesting and thought-provoking.
