Hysterical History by Jody PrattStrapped in delightful precedence
ignorance as preferable to petulance amidst
belligerence bestowed upon a crown of 'corpulence.
Ridiculous righteousness ought not be present in
presence of quality Queens and premier Presidents,
yet still compliments to confidence in contrary evidence.
Justice in vengeance, vagrants in victories
and vicious deliverance of peaceful indecencies
dealt to persons indifferent to history.
Yearning towards turning of tides,
tongues and lies laid out beside bodies
drowning closed mouths and shut eyes. 05/22/2012
Author's Note: When I decided to sit down and write a quick poem after a few beer, having not written anything in quite some time; I was not expecting this is what would come of it.

Posted by George Hoerner on 05/22/12 at 11:46 AM It may just be that we have opened into a century of tumult, revolution, and retrenchment. Can it be done without expanding into a III’d World War? Interesting write Jody. |
