I answer all questions
end all conversations;
desperately seeking you.

With a little to the mouth
I can cover your words;
I can change what is true.

I'm not benevolent
I don't have a thing to say;
but fear my retort.

I'm not asking
I'm just making the rules;
and fear my last report.

With a little bit,
you can make your own way.
With me,
you can have the final say.
With just one of me,
you know you can savor it;
but I don't play no favorites.

It's the way of the sword
sharp on both ends;
I'm here for the last cry.

It's the way of the gun
on a two-way range;
in the end, everyone dies.

Cheap is the price of life
as far as I'm concerned;
just an ounce of lead.

Expensive is the cost
of the ruin I can bring;
hanging over your head.

With a little bit,
you can make your own way.
With me,
you can have the final say.
With just one of me,
you know you can savor it;
but I don't play no favorites.

Hang tough behind me
a coward at the sight of me;
I bring you high and low.

And act of justice in the right hands
an act of vengence in another;
just another selfless act hate crime death blow.

When all you have is a bullet
everything is a target;
are you ready for the bloodshed?

It's not about the power
but I got the powder;
to clear the thoughts from your head.

With a little bit,
you can make your own way.
With me,
you can have the final say.
With just one of me,
you know you can savor it;
but I don't play no favorites.

This is fantastic! My pick for poem of the day. Wish I could print it out. It would go so perfect by my front door and new welcome mat "oh no, not you again". Thanks for this!

When we end up in a profession sometimes it is hard to exit it. Doctors are always diagnosing their friends, police must always show their power, and hunters are always taking aim with a gun in their hands even though it is in the closet. It is hard to change professions once they take hold of us especially one that gives us so much power over live and death. Nice write Jersey.
