a way to hold my fluidity?
a way to tether me
and hold me to continuity?
i do evaporate so easily.

can you help me hold a shape?
can you help me find a volume
and share your space?
i have nothing so much as
thin viscosity
and tenuous gravity.

i am dissipated by heat,
turned brittle by cold,
can you help me find some elasticity?
i do crowd around
the gaps between teeth,
taking suggestion from
elevation and speed,
but i have no consistency,
elemental yet of no consequence
without structure
between the tight walls of things.

i am nothing, without you holding me.
