May 8 by Meghan HelmichI imagine the emptiness that I will feel
when you won't be able to answer me.
You will go without me
and I'll never wrap my arms around you
or smell your perfume.
I will look at pictures and begin to lose
the memory of those touches.
I will compare you to every other person
that travelled beyond the edge
of the world and poured out with the oceans.
And eventually I will box up my memories
and put you to bed. 05/09/2012 Posted on 05/09/2012 Copyright © 2024 Meghan Helmich

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 05/10/12 at 01:57 AM I am ridiculously grateful to have these daily shots of your mindset. It's a pretty jarring, lyrical and beautiful world. This is my favorite one so far. |
