Piece me together

Until the picture is HD,
1080p.

I’m a collage,
Bits and remnants,
Our favorite song,
Your smell,
The way my children
Snuggled with me every naptime,
The way you used to
Tuck my hair behind my ear.

It’s all there.

It keeps me warm by night,
Holds all my dreams,
Every flight;
All my nightmares,
Your wish for me to be dead;
Every mirror,
Every kind word.

It’s an infinity puzzle,
And I’m never
All put together.

So far,
No cohesion,
No actual rhyme or reason.

But I love pasting the moments
In my hap-hazard way,
Which is my journey,
My signature move,
My legacy.

No matter where I go,
Here I am.
