I’ve looked around and found myself to be alone.
I’ve searched high and low,
near and far,
and finally had to put up posters reading:

Missing:
One smile that warms my heart,
The twinkle in the eye
that makes me feel special,
The arms to wrap around me
in the protective circle
of our own little world,
The laughter that used to come so easily
The happiness that I was a part of.

If found, please contact my heart
so it can mend.
