time goes

by Peter Hsu

desperation bleeds
and everything collapses
into the hurricane of your eye
(never again to blink
so redly)

many-limbed
i clutch the winds
snatching at threads of lightning
(wiry echoes of
your luminous heart)

time goes
each translucent second
shimmers silently in the air
(caught here forever
just out of sight)

Time certainly does go, and if often feels like we're completely helpless to stop it. This was fantastic.
