Of Utterless Beginnings

by Alison McKenzie

I am bound, silent.
What occurs cannot be recounted
In words.

Yet the bursting of my heart
Burns in my fingers,
Urgency that exceeds
The feather-float of my life,
That serenity which
Rides the dragon on the wind.

Majesty in the skies,
A score unwritten by
Humanity’s finest brilliance;

The notes sharp
On clarity’s breath,
The translation painted
In the northern light skies,
The beauty of which
Waited
Until we were unified
In love;

Transitions the likes of which
We are highly honored to witness;

We arrive en masse,
The contribution of our energies
Create the signatures marking the exquisite
Timelessness that follows.

And so
The dance begins...

Author's Note: We are about to witness a beginning so magnificent that language, as we know it, will not suffice.
