Silence by Quinlan L GibsonI'll keep looking through your window
When you gaze out all you'll see is the snow falling,
in luminescent moon beams.
Maybe you'll feel that i'm there.
Maybe you'll hear my heart beating,
but you won't know how close I really am.
And you'll notice the footprints in the yard yet,
how they got there, or where they go is
an aimless wondering; fruitless pondering.
Maybe you thought you heard your name,
whispered through the empty trees of winter.
Yes, I said it.
I eat, sleep and breathe it.
Though I dare not touch it; or speak it to you.
I whisper it through the empty trees.
It falls from my lips with the snow
as I safely look through your window. 03/05/2012 Posted on 03/06/2012 Copyright © 2024 Quinlan L Gibson
