choosing family by Vivienne Granttoss filial ties down the toilet,
set fire to strings that bind
shake off the shower of guilt,
like a Labrador after the rain
drown out repetitive whining,
hum mantras to fill up my ears
remember I chose this expression
I get to come do this again
