Somewhere In Between Here And Hell

by Jersey D Gibson

You got lost in the moment
got lost along your way.
You broke all your promises
and your reasons to stay.

And if you forget me
forgot why I'm here.
Just take a moment
and walk away, dear.

And it takes one second to ruin mylife
and a lifetime to live out my regrets.
Break down your lies, what are you left with
tell the truth, or call your bets.
For just one second, you had my trust
and not one second more will you get.
Step away, and don't look back
I'm destroyed and in your debt.

I tried to walk away
to put you behind.
Of all my coping
in my dreams, you've been bind.

All this frustration
you've been the cause.
And all my menstrations
my grief I can't pause.

And it took one second to ruin my life
and a lifetime to live with my regret.
Broke down your lies, what I'm left with
told the truth, yet lost the bet.
For just one second you got my trust
and not one second more will you get.
Stepped away, and didn't look back
I was destroyed and still in your debt.

Where do I go?
Did you like the way you left?
Where will I go?
Put my heart to death?

Now I'm moving on
try to get away.
All my anxieties
because my heart you played.

What were your reasons
do you have a story to tell?
Instead I'm left alone
somewhere in between here and hell.

And you took your time to ruin my life
and a lifetime laughing at my pain.
you told your lies, it's what you give
you thought it cool, but it's all the same.
And just one second you had my trust
and a million year of attaching blame.
Ran away, please don't look back
my heart can't survive your game.

How did I go wrong?
Didn't like the way you left.
Where do I go from here?
My heart was crushed by your step.

But I'm moving on...
