A pale shade

by Keith D Allison

Night creeps up on mountain
pink cotton lace upon
the blue of February's skies
hold the dream of eye

circles of the fountain
blue the water
ripples in the sand
hold the dream of eye

Snow begins to fall
the roof blue shingles
quakes with the weight
the storm has only began

What is fair
what is true
walking through the zoo
pick a place in the emptiness of grace

The lovely that tint blue
in a world far away
the dream of the eye
