love works best
when you work at it,
the easiest love aint love,
cause love hurts,
but it only hurts because
of love,
love makes all the soft parts
move up and out
exposed to the air
and the arrows of life,
but a real love is a salve
and emergency care,
a stitch and a kiss
where the wounding is.
