EVERYTHING by Desdemona Sinestra
She said to me
That there would be a fire
She said that there was a fire I didn't recognize
And I wept in to the sky
A billion winds
And a huge nothing suspended in my guts
And I told her I know
All about where she goes when the fires are done
I told her that she sinks into her own bones
A skeletal face she wouldn't dare deny
Smoldering inside of her guts
When I see everything
She said to me
Some nights
Nestled deep in caves
Made out of beds and blankets
She's secretly herself
And once my eyes adjust
she's merely piled up dust
