by Ava Blui do believe i can do this,
but the weight of working on
two degrees at once in opposite fields
gives rise to doubt.
i believe i can do this,
working towards english and science,
making the two mingle when they'd
rather stay in separate corners,
but there are times when my brain
listens to the voices around me
that say these two are forever meant
to be enemies.

I'm a science lover and plan on going to medical school after getting a social science PhD yet LOVE writing; I think the most well rounded humans are strong in varying areas that others don't understand. | Posted by Sarah Wolf on 02/10/12 at 12:57 AM I think it just says your well rounded... I've always had a love of science but also always an eccentric and artistic side too. Working as a nurse sometimes I find the other part of me starving if I am not careful to do things on my own time. There are moments I wish I may have explored the other side in a more serious way. You will have the opportunity to explore both and choose as you wish. Some nurses work as little as 3 days a month once they are established.... If you decide to use your English it will always be there for you when and if you need it. You also might use the English in a field of nursing such as Research and mix them together. You only live once, why not? |
