Opposite Sides of the Sky by JJ Johnsonour skies contrast as night and day
our lives apart as dawn to dusk
if only the years were not so heavy on my shoulders and so many on my back
break this ancient heart if it were to express its true desire
our hearts harmonize beating no delay
the sound of thunder explodes from my chest, with each word that you express
i feel so close when close my eyes
it burns my soul to dream of you
to kiss the smile you offer me when deep your eyes invite my gaze
to embrace smooth curves when breasts meet chest
to give you the caress to make a kitten purr
to open you with a lions roar, and devour the sound of your meow
to want too much from too far away in far too many ways
I will never realize these feelings, no matter every one is true
you may as well be on Venus while I am lost on Mars
to love and lose your touch, my heart would surely cease to beat

| Posted by Alison McKenzie on 02/13/12 at 05:49 PM Such longing expressed so beautifully! I think that being able to "reach" so many folks from so far away makes today's technology a double-edged sword of the sharpest kind. Thank you for sharing this here! |
