Patience by Vivienne Grantpatience sorely tried
and found wanting
what fool does the same things
over
and over
and over again
then stares in shock
at the same
unsatisfactory results
what fool
prods a wasp’s nest
and weeps
when he’s stung
patience diminishing
what fool leaves the butter out
then yells at the cat for eating chunks of it
what fool leaves the kindness out of relationship
then wonders at the death of it
Patience has left
she just has to find her way out of here

Posted by George Hoerner on 02/01/12 at 02:19 PM I enjoyed this write and some people never found out when they were growing up. I don't know but my daughter is in one of those and she will deliver his baby in about a month. But she knows she has a place to come. And it is not just men. |

From one such fool, though admittedly ages past,I say this is simply magnificent writing, Vivienne. |
