Secrets to sparkling stud

by Keith D Allison

One who dances
they just know
about the melody
and the beat

this sugar and personality
fluttering of the eyes
might stir a suitor's heartbeat
but the dance

It takes a routine
countless hours
of repetition
to bring the beauty to the stage

So catcher little sisters page
then take your great grandpa Radosevich out for a treat
then if you've baked a few cookies go east down the street
with more cookies in hand turnabout following the setting sun to the west
and you know your Iowa journeys still is not done

So dance ballerina
Dance
bring a smile to those who love you
know the dance is worth the pain.

Teenage years can be the hard ones
family sometimes seems to be a pain
but as you know dance is no game
so hear the words of the old gray-haired man

Do the dance
I know you can
and the ice
will be in your hand
