One Too Many Skeletons In This Overflowing Closet

by Jersey D Gibson

I know your secrets
I know you too well.
I know your nightmares
I know what to tell.

I see your darkness
I see right through you.
I hold you down, dear
And you know it's true...

Giving up pain, for a simple life
given up, and holding on way to tight.
Letting go, it's such a simple thing to do
I've let go, and you fall down too.

Listen to me
The whisper in your ear.
Give unto me
And bathe in all your fears.

Giving up
You've just let yourself go.
You gave up
the blood runs to the floor.

Naming your pain, for a better time
accepting it, decorate your arm with lines.
Forgetting it, repeat yourself once again
shut off your light, and you do it with your own hand.

Where did you go...?
Did you like the way I left...?
What do you know...?
Left you gasping for breath...?

Taking the pain, and make a better day
taking it all, and finding your own way.
Finding yourself, and you can start anew
found yourself, and you can live your life through...
