Haunted to Death

by Jody Pratt

Something is watching me.
Ever creeping.
Ever seeing.
Never speaking.

I'm scared of it.
It haunts me.
Never alone.
Never at peace.

It stands where I can't see it.
I eat.
I sleep.
It's ever waking, nothing feeds it.
I turn around, it stays behind me.
I'm in a cell,
Never lonely.
My guardian angel scares me.

At the risk of sounding redundant - This poem's emotion is extremely Haunting. Very deep seeded and very well written. Thanks for the share!

I loved the irony. The pace of your poem made me feel like I was watching you running. Very enjoyable. Thanks
