Empyrean She-Devil

by Jody Pratt

I call you rapturous,
you disagree, “I'm dangerous.”
Maybe I'm vivacious;
or you're just delirious.
All I know for sure is,
that you make me anxious.
You say you are vicious,
and I think that it's precious.

I must be Celestial,
in your presence.
You are paradisaical,
in your essence.
I am language,
you are fluent.
I am Anguish
recklessly ebullient.

You are my infuser;
my hearts beleaguer.
When those lips speak
I can't make a peep.
You paralyze my eyes
and tantalize my thighs.
This is my final ride
as you leave me pulverized.

Excellent Jody! And I couldn't have expressed this as well as you have! Brilliant work!

You've transformed the classic love/hate relationship into a dreadful craving pervading reverie as nightmare, with ripe alliterative rhyming to effect the elevation...

Wow. How did I miss this? The is awesome, Jody.I love the flow and crafting of selected words in this well designed piece.The paradoxical love attraction is fully appreciated in those last four lines..... enjoyed reading every word.

I love this! Absolutely every word of it ... you are perfectly undone by your muse and I am seriously in awe of the words you used to capture it! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! ~N
