Humiliation
by Steven Craig
You bait the bear
and you come alive
Humiliation is a path
AN open door
To the woman needing
Begging for something more
A gift for abuse she offers
Not a silent plea
But a beseeching scream
For others to see her deeply
As she knows they do
Waiting for the moment when
Their words of her she hears
Humiliation is an embrace
Knowledge she is desired
For deeper cuts and motives
She must obey
No, it is more
She needs to obey
To be drawn to its edge
Burning her wings in his candle
So forever stay in her place
She is judged against her unequal
Measured against will to submit
Compared to the perfect
And told of her failure
Complete disgrace
She breaths more intensely
Kneeling in her poverty
Asking only for something more
Than just the slap on the face
Humiliation is just a mile stone
Of thousands more before her feet
Reaching for that one place
That one moment
That makes her feel her face
Lowered in his shadow
Waiting
Desiring
Needing to be owned in disgrace
Subject to no laws but his
A comfort found
