Searching for God in a Meditation Room by Nicole D GregoryI haven't dared actually
walk in there yet
It's not a journey I care
to go on by myself
It's not like I'm afraid
of the dark
and you shouldn't be either
with your perfect jaw line
and shoulders
those brooding eyes
I would light some candles
and lock the door
~ heaven forbid
the devil try and enter ~
You could choose to forgive
me for what I was about
to do
or
... and I think I might
just have it right ...
Your search for God
could begin
somewhere among
the celestial bodies
of me and you
A sacrifice of skin
and the desire
to do good
I've done a bit of
meditating on what
I would do
it's not really wholesome
God knows
I try to do good
Then He created you
and He knows
I'm a sinner
but
I'm willing to go
searching for God
in a Meditation Room
with you

I'd say she is in need of someone to love out loud in public, unless this pining thing that is going on is part of a preamble...a dramatic irony only to come with a thud, a hammer...an action. (or actions as I believe the speaker leads me to suppose) |
