Tomorrow by Jeffrey ParrenMy heart breaks
every tomorrow
without your voice.
The gentle warmth
of a sleepy breath
upon my arms wrapped.
Hearts pounding
in rhythmic cadence
with locked eyes.
A simple brush
calculated flawlessly
whilst I do dishes.
Watching you
watching me
do us things.
Imagination runs
while the reality
remains hidden.
My heart is broken
and tomorrow
never comes.
You do not exist. 12/28/2011 Posted on 12/29/2011 Copyright © 2024 Jeffrey Parren
