Intentions of a Secret admirer

by Dorian Black

I whisper lazily into the wind,
watching the quiet letters dance
dizzily into the wisped clouds
of the frozen morning skies.

They spiral transiently
over the city-scape,
with a nonchalant grace
that can only be truly appreciated
by someone with your eloquence.

Loftily they sway to kiss your nape,
taunting your spine to chills.
You'll chalk it off to a cold morning,
but these words are a fair warning.

I read this and wondered why in the world hadn't I ever thought of that... I always burn my writing and let them blow through the air to reach my intended... Just loved this. ~N

I LOVED this! Secret admirers are interesting and sometimes show us things about ourselves we'd previously overlooked; awesome.

Beautifully written but really creeped me out. It did exactly what you intended then, I suppose, for this reader anyway. Having had someone sneak into my sunroom before and be chased away at gunpoint by my son and son-in-law, it hearkens back for me....

I like the way I had to read it a couple of times to get a clear image in my own head. I love the mystery of wondering who this is intended for. It gives me ideas about my own secretly admired, and it feels like magic here. Very worthy POTD! Congratulations!
