Christmas - Please Come Home

by Tony Whitaker

I hear the fireplace crackle
Christmas music fills the air
Such sounds of the season,
Fills us with a special joy
And miles of smiles to share

Presents are sitting silent
Beneath our bejeweled trees
Each gaily painted package
Beckons back to us
Where all the shine that glitters
Fills us with a certain glee

But let us now remember
When God gave to each of us
His only begotten Son
Our King was then delivered
Not into some pristine palace
But into some meager manger
As His life bespoke begun

A feast now fills our table
It is You we now embrace
For bestowing upon each one of us
With Your love,then Your life
Dear Lord
Which gave us your redeeming Grace

...tony, a walking hand in hand delight.

And now I hold my breath in prayer to each word you write so sincere..thank you entirely so! A heart that sings in praise!

This is beautiful, with an interesting rhythm. Joys of the season to you.

Humbling material -- not meant to be an oxymoron :> Hope you had a good one...
