Sleep, my sweet
Close your eyes
Lay down your head
And say your goodbyes

The world cannot be
With you tonight
Rest and dream
Where all is right

The work - it is over
The day is done
Night with it's dreaming
Has just begun

So gently wash away
In a river of dreams
Imagination sprouting
Bursting at the seams

The sun is on it's way
To the other side of the earth
Soon it will be here
When morning returns

Until that moment
When we shall arise
Make something sweet
Behind those pretty eyes
