It is four years, and your decision to make.. sink, or swim? by Jolie JordanI've fled from you
and this city
many times.
With pursed lips
and soaked bones
I will fling myself into this river
and pray that I can swim.

Posted by Nadia Gilbert Kent on 01/28/12 at 11:33 PM I don't believe one ever really does, but decides what to "know" with certainty based on how little work needs to be done to coexist/achieve equilibrium. If staying in a mediocre situation means momentary peace of mind, even if it's unsustainable in the long term, that's usually what happens. Alcohol helps, I find. |
