Hair clippings lay on the grouty tile floor
liquid soap and shampoo delicately sticks
their bottles to porcelain surfaces as they
drip and leak away
something foul lays in the toilet
tissues make a ring on the floor around the sink
smudged black or gray with the occasional bloom of
waxy red
the tub's scum is ashy and permanent
gobs of toothpaste both fresh mint and red hot cinnamon
hug their perches on the wall
watermarks tie dye the ceiling
spreading mold into amorphous shapes
that you could pick figures out of
like clouds
i put down a towel
sit back
look up
and dream
