Once upon a time by Keith D AllisonIn the winter
when the snow did fall
the ice crystals danced upon the glass
the mind craved
the flavors of spring
The lips of two lovers
Did meet in a song
a kiss speaking of forever
they knew the warm of their star
in the cold night
But the eyes of the world
did not favor a song
blood and wars
the distance of Ocean's
like waves holding them apart
A lifetime looking
to fill an empty heart
the flowers of spring
in grassy landscape
a little picket fence
a tree and a stone
Once upon a time
two lovers
did
kiss

Posted by Lori Blair on 12/02/11 at 01:49 PM Beautiful Keith..and perhaps once again those lovers will kiss. Most often intentions are well meaning but somehow it gets lost amongst the winds of change. Thank you |
