wind

by Mary Frances Spencer

screaming leaves
rustling dusty memories
rattle gates
push
debris
empty candy wrappers
dance with fresh chilly
discarded dry
palms

frolic in the streets
dark cold
almost winter evening
blow against my window
wake up vortex
spins time
in face
right now i hear
electrical banshee breath
distant sirens
whisper and flow
unknown mysteries
i close my eyes
and swirl within

Author's Note: Really chilly and windy here tonight! I love this electrical energy! (-: MFS
