Without passion
all that is left
is ignorant
complacency.

Blinded by
the lacking of others
has ground out
all the care

leaving a feebly
happy lump
of flesh
without a heart
to stand around.

Is it worse
to lose it
all on your own
or to have it stolen
by someone
who misinterprets
your drive
as tempered
aggression?

It's as if
the care
never showed
and as quick
as it does
the reason to not
rears its head.

I am me.

If your glaring
inadequacies
are magnified
by my mere
questioning
then the thought
has already
penetrated
your thinning skin.

My work was done
before I even started.
