cloudy by Mary Frances Spencersky a sad grey
sun lost behind the covers
almost holiday with too much
to do
not ready to come out
from under
mood pensive
introspective searches
time
shuffles slow cards
deals agendas
hangs possible rain
so i will roll
damp promises
thunder lightening
some kind
of silver
exhale warm plumes
feathery breaths
into the chilly

Posted by George Hoerner on 11/19/11 at 12:49 AM I don't 'get down' that much during the holidays but some people do. Also clouds or even rain rarely turn me off. Knowing I can't be what someone else wants me to be does however does make me feel like a failure. |
