You never feel your age
until the people around
rapidly remind you
of those milestones
yet to be achieved.

Babies are sprouting
from the wombs
of many of the women
(who used to be girls)
everywhere I look.

Not that I have one
but having yet
to impregnate a woman
beyond anything other
than the initial idea

is somewhat depressing.
Kudos to the baby makers.
Bravo to the brave men.
When is it my turn to
feel life's greatness?
